Tree Change

After more than twenty years of living in and loving Fremantle, we're choosing a 'tree change'.

From Fremantle to Hamelin Bay

On the 18th June  settlement went through on the purchase of our 4 acre bush block. So after more than twenty years of living in and loving Fremantle, we’re choosing a ‘tree change’ to beautiful  Hamelin Bay in the South West.
So we traded this…
Fremantle Townhouse

For this (once we’ve built it out of local stone)…

Stone Cottage

A townhouse for a stone cottage.

And forsaking this view…

Fremantle Sunset

For views of these magnificent trees on our 4 acre block…

Buzzing Fremantle City life for drives through the Boranup forest…

South Beach Fremantle…

South Beach Fremantle

For Hamelin Bay (where the stingrays feed from the shore)…

Mostly we feel the excitement of this ‘adventure’ interspersed with moments of panic at all that has to be done. I’m sad to leave Fremantle with its vibrancy and its diversity.
But we both love the land we have purchased where large Karri trees abound as well as its location close to the beach.
Iain is already planning regular fishing trips in his ‘wee boat’ and I’m looking forward to the creative energy of building a cottage together.  We will live in our carriage until the time is right to move onto the block.
Our new postal address is P.O. Box 68 Karridale WA 6288
